The passenger bus overturns in the collision
According to a report from Ninh Binh Police Department, the accident occurred on the National Road 1A in Ninh Binh City at 11.50 pm when the bus carrying 42 passengers running from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa collided with a motorbike.
The bus overturned after the collision. Four people including the motorbike driver and three passengers on the bus died on the spot. Five other passengers were seriously injured and soon rushed to local hospitals.
Two vehicles were heavily damaged in the accident. The collision also destroyed two street lamps.
The bus driver Nguyen Ngoc Sang, 38, tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
Police are further investigating the cause of the accident.
