According to a report from the Hoan Kiem District Fire and Rescue Police Department, the fire occurred at 4.50 am at a four-storey house at 4 Hang Luoc Street.
"We sent over 10 firefighters and five engines to the site for rescue work," the department said. "The house was also being used as a flower shop."
After the fire was brought under control, police found four bodies which identified as an elderly couple and their two grandchildren in the debris.
Police are further investigating the cause of the fire.
