Two bodies have been recovered this morning, June 24, together with an engine, propeller, and some other fragments from the Vietnamese coastguard Casa 212 plane.

The two bodies, and two others found yesterday, which were found about 50-60 metres below the surface at about 15 nautical miles South-East of the Bach Long Vy Island, were believed to be crew members of the coast guard plane. One of them has been confirmed as Major Nguyen Van Chinh, while the other three are being identified.
Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang said this morning that the rescue teams are making their best efforts to look for the other crew members and the plane's black box recorder.
The Casa 212 carrying nine flight crew crashed on June 16 near Bach Long Vy Island while searching for the pilot of a missing Su-30 Mk2 fighter jet. Five crew are still missing.
