
November saw the highest number of foreign arrivals with over 1.23 million, an increase of 11 percent compared to October and 2.1 times higher than the same period last year.
South Korean tourists accounted for the highest proportion of foreign vistiors in the 11-month period, with 3.2 million arrivals accounting for 28.5 percent. China ranked second with 1.5 million, followed by Taiwan (China), the United States, and Japan.
Among Southeast Asian countries, Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia were the largest sources of visitors to Vietnam.
November witnessed strong growth in the number of European visitors, especially from countries with visa exemptions that offer a stay period of 45 days.
Vietnam’s largest international tourism markets in Europe were the UK, France, and Germany.
