The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the nomination of Pham Thu Hang as Acting Director General of the Press and Information Department and ministry spokesperson on June 8.
Pham Thu Hang, 47, who was previously Deputy Director General of the Press and Information Department cum deputy spokesperson of the ministry, received the promotion after her predecessor, Le Thi Thu Hang, was promoted as deputy minister.
Graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam, Pham Thu Hang has had many years working in the ministry and has experience in working with the media. She used to be political counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy in the US between 2017-2020.
