By this morning, October 9, many villages in Tan Hoa Commune, Quang Binh Province’s Tan Hoa District were put deeply under water. The water has even reached up to the roofs of many houses in Village 3.

Many areas in Quang Binh severely flooded

Around 300 houses in Tan Hoa District have been put deeply under water, so people have to temporarily shelter on floating houses.

The floods have also isolated up to 382 households in Tuyen Hoa District. Local authorities have made preparations to evacuate 1,600 people.

Some areas along the Kien Giang River in Le Thuy District have been inundated up to 0.5-1 metre, isolating 600 households.

In Quang Ninh District, 2,831 houses have been flooded.

Quang Binh Province has been forecasted to continue facing adverse downpours.
