According to Lam Dong Province's Police Department, the fire started at the villa No.13 on Tran Hung Dao Street at 6.50 pm on Monday.

"The fire quickly spread to another house and was only brought under control by 8.40pm," a fire policeman said. "Five bodies were found inside the villa then."


Ambulances transport the victims to a local hospital


Witness said that they heard a loud explosion from the house No.13 and then saw the fire.

"We immediately called on neighbours and the fire police to come but as the fire spread so fast that we could not rescue the victims," a local resident said.

The five bodies were identified as Nguyen Van Thang, 42, his wife Nguyen Thi Hoa, 44, their son Nguyen Quoc Khanh, 16, and daughter Nguyen Thi Khanh Linh, 14. Another body has yet to be identified and was believed to be the family's relative who came to visit that day.
