Since late November, Hue has been witnessing a sharp rise in Covid-19 patients, raising the locality’s total number of Covid-19 infections to 5,000 to date. Since early this month, the city has recorded an average 300 Covid-19 patients per day.
Local authorities have set up the establishment of mobile medical stations to assist Covid-19 patients who are treated at home.
The oxygen ATM project provides 200 oxygen tanks and five medical oxygen generators for Hue. It is aimed to help ease the burden for local hospitals and mitigate the death rate caused by the pandemic, said Tran Duc Minh, head of the Thua Thien-Hue Hue Young Entrepreneurs Association.
The project is recruiting volunteers.
HCM City has also run a similar project during the city’s Covid-19 outbreak.
