A new electric minibus route will operate in Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem District during the Tet Lunar New Year.

The route will start from Dinh Tien Hoang Street, travel through the Old Quarter and then end at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The minibus has seven-seat capacity.

On February 1-9, trips from Dinh Tien Hoang Street to Thang Long Imperial Citadel will be free of charge. Around 10 buses will operate during the day.

Passengers will have to pay VND35,000 each for return trips.

The service will be operated by Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre and Hoan Kiem District.

Many activities will be held in Hanoi to welcome Tet.

Hanoi will organise a series of fireworks shows at 32 venues across the capital on February 10 to conclude the Lunar New Year’s Eve. The fireworks will last for a total of 15 minutes with nine high-range shows and 23 low-range displays taking place.

A programme entitled Tet Viet-Tet Pho Co 2024 (Vietnamese Tet-Old Quarter Tet 2024) celebrating Tet 2024 has opened at Kim Ngan communal house, Hoan Kiem District.

It is intended to introduce Tet rituals and activities of the city and the northern delta region.
