According to Vu Quang Hung, Party Secretary of the district, on Tuesday, 15 drones were deployed in 13 local wards to check whether people were following regulations.

Hoa Cuong Nam and Hoa Cuong Bac wards had two drones each as they are larger.

Hung said that the flycams were provided by volunteers, helping to save the city’s budget. Currently, the drone trial is intended to remind people to strictly conform to social distancing measures.

Hung added that the drones had shown many people in different wards travelling without necessary permission.

Through flycams, on-duty officials are able to clearly spot residents going out.

People are requested to remain at home, particularly in narrow alleys, to avoid Covid-19 infection risks.
Meanwhile, Me Linh District in Hanoi have also used drones to supervise Lam Ho and Phu Tri villages which are being locked down for Covid-19 infections.
