The car's licence plate is replaced with a Happy Wedding sign.
The traffic police announced on Monday evening that the man was penalised for using an improper plate.
Earlier that day, residents reported a car travelling on the Phap Van-Cau Gie Expressway with a Happy Wedding plate at the rear, swerving dangerously and obstructing traffic.
The driver was later summoned and admitted to the violation.
The Traffic Police Department urged drivers to comply with licence plate registration regulations and ensure road safety.
Tampering with licence plates, using devices to flip them, altering characters, obscuring numbers or applying non-standard materials is punishable by a fine of VND 20-26 million (approximately USD 820-1,070) and a deduction of six licence points.
