Denmark opens visa application centre in HCM City

Denmark opened a new Visa Application Centre in Ho Chi Minh City on September 3 in an effort to promote exchanges with Vietnam, according to a press release.

Denmark opened a new Visa Application Centre in Ho Chi Minh City on September 3 in an effort to promote exchanges with Vietnam, according to a press release.

All applications for short-term Schengen visas to Denmark, Iceland and Lithuania as well as to Greenland and the Faroe Islands should be submitted at this centre.

People who want to work and reside in Denmark should also submit their applications at the centre.

The centre will facilitate visa, processing process by offering longer working hours with no appointment arranged.

Additional services such as online application tracking and courier delivery are also available.

“With the new Visa Application Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, we improve the consular service. Smooth and effective visa handling is key to promoting exchanges - commercially, culturally and politically - between Vietnam and Denmark,” said Danish Ambassador to Vietnam John Nielsen.

The centre will be operated by the international company VFS Global.

Another visa application centre will open in Hanoi on November 1.
