On Wednesday, Dantri/DTiNews and a representative from Sam Son Town’s Board of Education and Training granted VND108 million to Le Thi Nam’s family. Earlier, she also received another donation of around VND35 million from readers.

The donation granted to the family
The support came after an article about the family was published in the newspaper. Nam, 40, has suffered a marriage breakup, and six operations related to some diseases, including breast and cervical cancer since 2009.
She dreamed of having a house, but was not able to due to the loans resulting from hospital fees.

Nam’s condition has worsened. She is now staying at hospital for treatment, so her mother Le Thi Can received the donation granted by the newspaper.
Tran Thi Nga, vice headmaster of Quang Hung Primary School, said that the school had called for its teachers and students to help Nam’s nine-year-old son Le Doan Quang Anh. The boy will also be exempted from new school year fees.
