Speaking at the event, the newspaper editor-in-chief, Pham Huy Hoan said that he was moved by the support of many readers for the newspaper's campaign to help doctors in the fight against the epidemic.
He believed that with the support from the community, the efforts of doctors and the directions of the state and government, the combat against Covid - 19 would soon end to bring back a peaceful life for millions of Vietnamese people and contribute to the virus fight in the world.
On behalf of the newspaper, Hoan presented VND1 billion to director of the Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Pham Ngoc Thach and his deputy Le Van Dung.
Earlier on March 24, Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper also presented VND1 billion which an anonymous reader sent to support the hospital.

Attending the Tuesday event, vice chairman of the Cen Group, Pham Thanh Hung said that they have participated in various charity events but this is the most special because they and other readers are joining with doctors to fight against an epidemic which is considered an enemy.
Receiving the money, Dr Pham Ngoc Thach sent his thanks to Dantri/DTiNews readers, enterprises, artists for their valuable support to the doctors here.
"This is a great support to us," he said. "We've had some first success thanks to our experience with SARS and the effective treatment methods shared by experts worldwide. We're still trying to study more treatment methods for the disease."
At the event, some enterprises including Coca-cola, Shpee, Green Kites, Ren Coffee Shoe, and Thu Cuc International General Hospital presented more than 25,000 medical face masks and 1,800 sets of protective clothes to the doctors.

Also on April 28, at Dantri/DTiNews' Ho Chi Minh City Office, the newspaper also presented VND500 million which the Pernod Ricard Vietnam Company sent to support the Cho Ray Hospital to fight against Covid-19.
