A 29-year-old woman has tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 after serving two virus-infected British customers at an electronic store in Danang City.

The Ministry of Health announced Wednesday afternoon that this 35th Covid case comes from Hai Chau District. At 6pm on March 4, she received the two British customers who boarded the same flight from London to Hanoi with the 17th case on March 2 and then tested positive for the virus on March 9.
According to Danang authorities, the two tourists took a flight to Danang right after arriving at Noi Bai Airport on March 2.
They stayed at a hotel and dined at a restaurant in Hai Chau District. They visited two golf courses on March 4 and 5 and another golf course on the following day. They had also visited many shops and restaurants in Hai Chau and Son Tra districts.
Vanda Hotel has been disinfected after the tourists tested positive for SARS-CoV-2.
On March 9, the Ba Na Hills Golf Club, where the tourists visited on March 4, was shut down for disinfection. Employees who have had contact with the tourists were asked to monitor their own health. As of now, no one has shown symptoms of having the virus yet. The managers said they had informed other customers about the news.
The Department of Health, Department of Tourism, Department of Foreign Affairs, the city police and local authorities have investigated to find and quarantine people that have close contact with the tourists. The hotel employees and customers have also been quarantined.
All locations where the tourists have visited have been disinfected. People who have had close contact with the tourists were asked to come to the authorities for test and quarantine.
The new cases included 11 foreign tourists who boarded the same flight from London to Vietnam with the country’s 17th COVID-19 patient on March 2.
These tourists have visited many sites in Vietnam before being quarantined since the 17th case was detected.
Many hotels and tourist sites in Hanoi, Ha Long, Ninh Binh, Hue, and Hoi An have been suspended and closed after their visits.
