Hundreds of cars in the central city of Danang were seriously submerged after inundation.

Hundreds of cars in the central city of Danang were seriously submerged after inundation.

The rain from around 1 pm to 11 pm on Friday caused by Storm Sonca put many areas in Danang under water by midnight Friday, posing a threat to local residents.

This morning, October 15, the water subsided in many areas, leaving hundreds of cars abandoned across local streets.

On Le Duan Street alone, at around 8 am this morning, as many as 50 cars were being taken away for repairs.

People were provided with life jackets while being evacuated out of submerged areas. This has been the most serious inundation in Danang so far. Many areas were up to 1.2 metres under water.
