Under the decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, the Central Committee of Vietnamese Fatherland Front needs to co-operate with the Ministry of Finance to instruct the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Finance Department of localities nationwide in receiving the donations and transferring them to the state budget for the vaccine purchase.

The Covid-19 vaccination in HCM City
The foreign and defence ministries are assigned to supervise the state budget distribution for Covid-19 vaccination in localities.
According to the Deputy PM, the distribution of the state budget for Covid-19 vaccine purchase in localities must be transparent.
The Ministry of Finance previously proposed to the government to set up a fund for buying the Covid-19 vaccine for some 75 million residents in the country.
According to the ministry, Vietnam will need to buy 150 million doses of vaccines, costing VND25 trillion (USD1 billion). The figure includes the VND21 trillion cost of the vaccines, and the VND4.2 trillion cost of transporting, storing and distribution. VND16 trillion will come from the state budget. VND9.2 trillion will come from local budgets and donations from individuals and organisations.
