According to the Ministry of Health, a 42-year-old man in Hanoi’s Bac Tu Liem District, Patient 714, who works as a public bus operator visited Danang with his family between July 14-17.

On July 18, he returned to work as usual and joined a meeting with 12 participants at the company.
On July 19, he had a fever, cough and sore throat but he still travelled to the northern province of Nam Dinh’s Y Yen District. Between July 20 and August 3, he continued going to work.
He also came to other places, including a restaurant and a karaoke parlour near his firm and contacted with many people.
On August 4, he had his samples taken for Covid-19 testing at Hanoi’s National Hospital for Tropical Diseases and the result was positive.
The three other Covid-19 cases, patients 715-717, are from the central province of Quang Nam aged between 41 and 45. They all came into close contact with people who were being treated or taking care of sick people at Danang's hospitals.
By Thursday morning, Vietnam recorded 717 Covid-19 cases, including 328 patients still being active and 381 other discharged from hospital for their full recovery.
Up to 268 Covid-19 cases related to Danang have been detected since July 25.
The pandemic has affected 11 cities and provinces in Vietnam including 194 in Danang. It is followed by Quang Nam with 47 cases; HCM City with eight; Lang Son with four; Dak Lak, Quang Ngai and Hanoi; Dong Nai and Bac Giang with two each and Thai Binh and Ha Nam with one each.
