According to a report from local police, on the evening of November 28, some residents noticed a foul smell coming from a rented apartment and found it locked.
They called the apartment's owner, who then informed the police.
After breaking the apartment's door, police found a man and a woman dead on a bed inside. Their bodies were decomposing.
Some sleeping pills were on the bed, and a coal stove was on the floor. The air conditioner was still on.
According to the apartment's owner, the couple was a husband and wife from Tien Giang Province who rented the apartment two weeks ago.
Police are investigating the case.
