PM Pham Minh Chinh visits Thanh Xuan Trung Ward, Hanoi

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh worked online with 2,594 wards and communes across Vietnam about Covid-19 prevention from his office on September 2. The online centre was set up after the PM's visit to outbreak areas in HCM City, Hanoi, Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.

The Ministry of Information and Communication then asked the Central Post and Telecommunications Department to work with VNPT and Viettel on the project which was completed within three days.

The PM will use the centre to monitor, inspect and give directives to communes and wards during the Covid-19 outbreak. After inspecting HCM City, Long An and Tien Giang provinces, the PM said shortcomings could be seen at some wards and communes.

He urged the local authorities to improve their steering committees for Covid-19 prevention, ensuring food and medicine supplies to the residents and call for the residents to follow social distancing rules.
