The department will announce the new location of the store every day to the firm and drivers. On July 21, 10 buses travelled HCM City from 9 am to 2 pm to bring food to the residents. This model will help ease some burden on supermarkets and convenience stores, maintain social distancing rules and ensure food supplies for residents.
At the grocery bus on Le Van Sy Street, only one person was allowed to enter at a time. The prices of the items are also listed on the outside of the bus.
"Customers must wash hands their before entering the bus. I think this is convenient. I can buy food right next to my house and don't have to queue for long," Tran Thi Xuan from District 3 said.
