Design for a 19-building centre at Bach Mai Hospital with a heliport

The hospital plans on building a 19-storey building on an area of over 45,000 square metres that will have a total of 500 sickbeds for inpatient treatment. The project is expected to cost VND1.3 trillion (USD61.2 million), which will come from the state budget, issuance of government bonds and private sources.

Because the adjusted design plans include a heliport, they must seek for approval from the Ministry of Construction and the government.

Recently, Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Pham Khanh issued a statement emphasising that any changes to the project’s design must be approved by all investors.

“The proposed change to the rooftop of the building should be carefully thought out in order to ensure construction quality,” he emphasised.

He added that all regulations on aviation must be strictly complied with in addition to construction laws.
