Bac Ninh starts social distancing due to Covid-19 outbreak

Bac Ninh announced that social distancing will be implemented in the province starting from 6 am on May 18 to May 20 as per prime ministerial directives. During this time, the authorities will carry out contact tracing, testing and monitoring vulnerable areas.

Depending on the situation, the social distancing period may be extended.

Bac Ninh has recorded a total of 294 infection cases since April 29. 12 patients are in critical condition and are being treated at Bac Ninh General Hospital. One patient has been transferred to a central hospital after his condition worsened.

The authorities have detected 2,908 F1 people and over 25,000 F2 people. Over 107,000 samples have been taken as two field hospitals in Tien Du and Gia Binh District Medical Station were put into operation.

470 people were quarantined at medical facilities, over 2,300 people were transferred to quarantine centres, 907 were quarantined at hotels and over 20,000 people were home isolated.
