The southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau is calling for more hotels to provide paid Covid-19 quarantine sites amid the ongoing pandemic in the area.

The southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau is calling for more hotels to provide paid Covid-19 quarantine sites amid the ongoing pandemic in the area.

At present, ten hotels in the province are being used as Covid-19 paid quarantine sites with 856 rooms that can accommodate 1,441 people.

There are different kinds of rooms for people to select, including single rooms, family rooms and luxury rooms. The prices range from VND1.5 million (USD65.21) to VND5.9 million (USD256.52) per person per day.

Between 6 pm on Sunday and 6 am on Monday, the province recorded an additional 60 Covid-19 cases, including 12 in Vung Tau City and 23 in Xuyen Moc District.

Since June 28, Ba Ria-Vung Tau has confirmed 1,505 Covid-29 patients, including 62 discharged from hospitals.

The province has decided to establish nine more field hospitals with 1,790 sick-beds in total for Covid-19 treatment amid the sharp rise in new Covid-19 infections.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau is among 19 southern localities which have imposed social distancing measures in line with the government’s Directive 16 since July 19.
