The ASEAN Youth Forum 2015 themed ‘ASEAN Community – Cultural Identity’ officially opened in HCM City.

The forum has attracted the participation of 36 outstanding young people from seven ASEAN member countries, including Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
The event is expected to provide a good opportunity for ASEAN youth to enhance their awareness of preserving cultural identities whilst working together to build a united ASEAN community and enhance mutual understanding.
Youth representatives will be divided into three groups to discuss measures to raise awareness of cultural values, preservation and promotion of cultural heritages, and promoting creativity and cultural industries.
An exhibition showcasing national traditional costumes, cultural practices and cultural relic sites will also be held.
In addition, the representatives will make field trips to historic sites and famous destinations in Ho Chi Minh City.
