Two women were attacked viciously by aggressive fish on May 19 at Quy Nhon Beach, Nguyen Van Cu Ward, Quy Nhon City. The victims were then rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Victims suffer from serious injuries
Truong Thi Tanh, 60, living at Ghenh Rang Ward said, “At about 5.30 this morning, I went to the beach with three friends. After about half an hour, I was attacked at my feet and ankles causing me to panic and scream, I looked down and noticed a lot of blood.”
Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, 52, who lives at Nguyen Van Cu Ward, is being treated at the Recuperation & Emergency Department. She said that her left leg was bitten by sting ray when she was about 5 metres from the beach.
“I stopped swimming in the sea for several months since I heard many people were attacked. Lately, the weather became very hot, so we went to the beach. Two of us were attacked. I will not dare to go to the beach again for the rest of my life,” added Thao.
The attacks have happened to many people at Quy Nhon beach. A shark suspected of attacking several people was caught recently by a farmer.
