The police in Gia Lam District confirmed the case on August 18. The baby was discovered by a local at 5.50 pm in a small gap between two houses in Alley174, Trau Quy Town.

After receiving the report, firefighters and the police in Gia Lam arrived at the scene. Since the gap between the houses was too small to walk in, the firefighters had to destroy a part of the wall to get the baby out at 6 pm.
The baby has been transferred to the town medical centre.
