Relevant agencies in Vietnam’s Dien Bien province and Laos’ Phongsaly province have succeeded in breaking the biggest drugs ring.
They claimed to have confiscated 34 heroin cakes, more than 15kg of heroin powder, a lot of tools and equipment to refine and pack heroin, 7 automobiles, 19 gold taels, more than US$450,000, VND722 million, and 390,000 baht, 5 guns and other explosive devices.
Ly A Nhin, Lao nationality, was caught trafficking 34 heroin cakes and more than 15kg of heroin powder through the common border to Tay Trang area (Vietnam).
Three accomplices – Tong Dia, Tong Dinh and Chu Mo Ly who - hiding in Pang Hoc commune (Laos) were also arrested.
The smuggling case’s still under investigation.
