The information was given by Tran Quoc Dinh, deputy head of Hanoi Customs Department.

According to Dinh, the officers whose names have not yet been disclosed will be suspended for 15 days to serve the case investigation.
Earlier on January 19, the police uncovered Dang Duc Thinh, 30, from the northern province of Quang Ninh who took Vietnam Airlines’ flight VND45 from South Korea’s Incheon to Noi Bai bringing 856 Samsung mobile phones and Iphones with him at the airport.
In 2017, 155 iPhones were seized at Noi Bai International Airport after their owner failed to produce receipts and other relevant documents.
