47 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Vietnam as of Tuesday morning

Vietnam reported an additional 47 Covid-19 patients in the past 12 hours to 6 am on Tuesday morning with all being domestic infections, the Ministry of Health reported.

According to the ministry, most of the cases were recorded in quarantined or locked down areas, while three others in HCM City are still under investigations.

Vietnam reported an additional 47 Covid-19 patients in the past 12 hours to 6 am on the morning of June 22


HCM City accounted for 36 patients, followed by Bac Giang with nine, Nghe An with one and Gia Lai with one.

By 6 am on Tuesday, Vietnam confirmed a total of 11,827 locally-infected Covid-19 cases and 1,703 from abroad. Since April 27, the country’s Covid-19 infections have reached 10,257.

Eighteen cities and provinces have gone through 14 days without detecting any new cases.

The country’s total Covid-19-related death tally has risen to 69.

To date, 5,453 Covid-19 patients in Vietnam have been discharged from hospital.
