The location of the fishing boat
According to the centre, the boat issued a rescue call at 3.30 am on Wednesday saying that the engine died while they were some 134 nautical miles Southeast from Vung Tau Cape.
A representative from the centre said that they had connected the boat to the Coastal Rescue and Search Centre and informed other rescue forces to support the boat.
The boat is owned by fisherman Nguyen Van Thanh in Binh Dinh Province.
