According to Thanh Hoa Province’s Centre of Disease Control (CDC), the centre has provided the first Covid-19 test for 185 local people who have returned from abroad. They are all being quarantined at a military site at Division 390 in Bim Son District.
The returnees who are mostly students and labourers come back from different countries such as Bangladesh, Maldives, Bhutan, Srilanka and Nepal.
Among those, 14 are suspected to be infected by Covid-19.
Luong Ngoc Truong, director of Thanh Hoa CDC, said that the test samples of the 14 suspected cases have been sent to the National Institute of Hygiene And Epidemiology to be rechecked.
Speaking to Dantri/DtiNews, the provincial Centre of Disease Control has asked local management agencies for moving the suspected cases to the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases for being medically monitored.
The CDC will also conduct another Covid-19 test for the patients.
Division 390 has been asked to follow quarantine regulations to ensure safety. Medical masks and equipment have been provided for the division.
