Pham Anh Vu, Deputy General Director of Viet Travel Company, said bookings are expected to increase by 20 to 25 per cent compared to the same period last year. Destinations such as Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Ha Long, Sapa, and Moc Chau are among the most popular, as travellers seek to combine sightseeing with National Day celebrations in the capital.
The military parade and other large-scale events in Hanoi have prompted families and tour groups to begin planning trips as early as June. Hotels in central Hanoi are already seeing a spike in early reservations.
Tran Thi Bao Thu, Marketing and Communications Director at Vietluxtour, said that outbound bookings had already reached over 50 per cent of their target by the end of the first quarter. The company expects a 25 to 30 per cent year-on-year increase in bookings for the National Day holiday and autumn travel season.
Hanoi’s tourism authorities are also rolling out new attractions to draw visitors, including the Bell of Tran Vu performance at Quan Thanh Temple, the launch of themed tourism sites such as Truc Bach Subsidy-Era Street and Leng Keng Heritage Tramcar No. 6, as well as eco-cultural tours to Dao ethnic herbal medicine villages in Ba Vi District.
According to Tran Phuong Linh, Marketing and IT Director at Ben Thanh Tourist, the four-day break has driven demand for both short (1–3 days) and longer tours (4–6 days). Prices for tours during the holiday have risen 10 to 20 per cent depending on the destination.
With travel demand heating up, tour operators are advising customers to book early to ensure availability and better pricing.
