The initiative aims to improve tourism connectivity among the three countries while identifying challenges to developing and expanding multi-country tour products.
Travel companies are encouraged to partner with operators in Laos and Cambodia to develop cross-border tour packages highlighting the three countries' cultural and natural attractions.
The authority also called for more flexible transport options by combining road, air and water travel where appropriate, while maintaining service quality and safety standards.
Travel firms operating or planning cross-border tours have been asked to submit programme details, including itineraries, duration, destinations, transport modes and target markets. Submissions may include up to three photographs.
The authority is also seeking feedback on opportunities and challenges in developing and operating cross-border tours between the three countries.
It also invited companies to suggest ways to improve cross-border travel, including simpler immigration and customs procedures, better transport infrastructure and visitor services, joint promotion, and greater digital cooperation.
According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), the information will help support future tourism planning and the development of cross-border travel initiatives linking Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
Selected tour products may also be featured through VNAT's promotional channels and ASEAN tourism platforms.
Travel companies are requested to submit their proposals to VNAT by July 31, 2026
