Can Tho International Airport has announced that Vietnam Airlines will launch a direct air service linking Can Tho and Haiphong starting on February 1.
Under the published schedule, flights VN1227/26 will operate regularly four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The new route is expected to significantly shorten travel time between the two cities and provide an important boost to cultural and economic exchanges between the northern port city of Haiphong and Can Tho, widely regarded as the capital of the Mekong Delta.
