Leaders from the Party and State and Phu Tho Province attended the incense offering ceremony to the Hung Kings on April 16.
The incense offering ceremony was held at 7.45 with the attendance of tens of thousands of visitors who have flocked to the site.
Tens of thousands of visitors flocked to the Hung Kings Temple Festival in Phu Tho Province on April 16.
There will be many Xoan singing performances by local artists. This is part of an effort to get UNESCO to reclassify Xoan singing, now a world intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection, as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Festival goers will see artefacts highlighting different cultures of different regions, such as Khanh Son rock gongs of Khanh Hoa province and a couple of 400-year-old wooden vases that weigh a tonne.
The festival will include a photo exhibit featuring historical sites, ceramic products made by the artisans of Bat Trang village, Hanoi, and bronze products made by the metalworkers in Phu Tho province.
