>> Fireworks light up Danang for international festival
Parente Fireworks Company of Italy won first place for their display at the international fireworks festival in Danang.
The team’s performance, named “Vitality of a River”, turned a night along the river into a brilliant spectacle of colour and light, which brought thunderous applause from the audience.
Parente Fireworks Company is one of the oldest in Italy, having produced fireworks displays for more than 100 years.
The teams Hanwha, of South Korea, and Panda Fireworks, from China, received shared second prize. Third place went to teams from both Vietnam and England.
A total of five teams took part in this year’s festival, which was the 5th of it’s kind held in Danang.
