According to Colonel Tran Van Trung, on April 30, fireworks will light up the sky from 9 to 9.15 pm at 30 locations across the city, including two high-altitude sites at Saigon River Tunnel entrance in Thu Duc City and Ben Duoc Memorial Temple in Cu Chi District.

Low-altitude fireworks will be launched at venues throughout the city, including Nga Ba Giong (Hoc Mon), Ben Noc Memorial (Thu Duc), Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial (Can Gio), An Phu Dong Base (District 12), Lang Le Cultural Park (Binh Chanh), Binh Tri Dong Residential Area (Binh Tan), Independence Palace and Ba Son Bridge (District 1), Thanh DaPeninsula (Binh Thanh), Tan Thuan Bridge (District 4), Northwest Industrial Park (Cu Chi) and Go Vap Cultural Park.
Besides the 30 fireworks locations, the southern metropolis will also hold high-altitude shows at Saigon Riverside Park on the evenings of April 19 and 26.
HCM City’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of Reunification Day will have a 30-minute artistic performance featuring a brass band and rifle drills. During the flag-raising ceremony, a 21-gun salute will accompany the national anthem.
A grand military civilian parade will also take place in the city.
