The provincial People’s Committee on March 5 agreed in principle to allow Quy Nhon Ward to trial a sea-based recreational service using inflatable floating structures.

The initiative, proposed by local authorities, is intended to support a series of events planned for National Tourism Year 2026 while adding new attractions for visitors.
The pilot model involves floating inflatable playgrounds without engines, designed to suit the natural conditions and landscape of the coastal area.
The project is planned for Beach Zone No.3, a designated sand-based service area stretching from the extended Le Loi Road to Le Thanh Ton Street. The trial is expected to run from now until September 2026.
In recent years, tourism services in Quy Nhon Ward have expanded rapidly with a variety of offerings, with beach tourism remaining a key draw, particularly during holidays and peak travel seasons.
Local authorities expect the floating playground pilot to broaden sea-based recreational activities and enhance the appeal of Quy Nhon and Gia Lai as destinations during National Tourism Year 2026.
