MITT Moscow is one of the largest tourism exhibitions in the Eurasian region, bringing together more than 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries and attracting around 16,400 visitors. The event also features more than 40 discussion sessions with 265 tourism industry speakers.

At the fair, Danang is promoting itself as a beach resort destination that combines coastal relaxation with cultural and nature-based experiences. The city is targeting travellers from Russia and CIS countries, a group known for longer stays and higher spending.

The Danang booth spans 18 square metres and includes five participating tourism businesses: The Pearl Hoi An, Bellerive Hoi An Resort & Spa, Danang Mikazuki Japanese Resorts & Spa, Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Co., Ltd. and Travel House Vietnam Tourism and Media JSC.

The booth opening ceremony on March 11 was attended by Dang Minh Khoi along with representatives of tourism businesses.

During the exhibition, the city’s Tourism Promotion Centre and participating companies plan to hold around 360 business-to-business meetings with travel agencies and tour operators from Russia and CIS markets.

Visitors to the booth can also experience Vietnamese coffee, take part in interactive activities and receive souvenirs representing Danang.

Although there are currently no direct flights between Russia and Danang, the market has shown strong growth. In 2025, the city welcomed more than 171,000 Russian visitors, nearly doubling the figure recorded in 2024 and placing Russia among the city’s 15 largest international markets.

In the first two months of 2026, Russia remained among the top 10 international visitor markets for Danang, accounting for 2.94 per cent of total arrivals.

Tourism officials expect the number of Russian visitors to the city to increase by about 50 per cent in 2026. Travel companies such as Anex Tour and Crystal Bay Group are planning charter flights from 12 cities in Russia and nearby regions to Danang starting in April 2026.

Alongside participation in the fair, the department is also partnering with the digital advertising platform Yango Ads to run marketing campaigns in Russia and CIS countries aimed at strengthening Danang’s destination brand.

Through these promotional activities and partnerships, Danang hopes to expand the Russian visitor market, targeting long-stay travellers with higher spending and further diversifying its international tourism base.
