In recent days, the village has been awash in pink as rows of cherry blossom trees flower simultaneously, transforming the community into a popular destination for sightseeing and photography.
Dung K’Si, located along national highway 27C, is home to hundreds of K’Ho households.
According to Ka Lien, a local resident, villagers planted cherry blossom trees in front of their homes and along roadsides, creating a picturesque setting that attracts visitors keen to admire the scenery and take photos.
At an altitude of 1,200-1,700 metres, the village enjoys a cool climate year-round, with temperatures of 10-20 degrees Celsius. Clear skies ahead of the Lunar New Year have provided ideal conditions for the blossoms.
National flags fluttering in the warm sunshine blend with the pink hues of the flowers, creating a striking visual scene.
“Cherry blossoms make the village more vibrant. We are also happy to welcome visitors from near and far who come to enjoy themselves and take photos,” said K’Tem, a resident of Lac Duong.
Many visitors have travelled long distances to Dung K’Si to enjoy the fresh air and capture romantic moments among the blossoms.
Quach Hanh Phuong, a visitor from Hanoi, said she was delighted by the experience. “The flowers were beautiful and the air was fresh. Taking photos with the cherry blossoms made our Dalat trip even more meaningful,” she said.
Cherry blossoms typically bloom for 20-30 days, with authorities in Lac Duong encouraging residents to plant and care for the trees to enhance the landscape and support sustainable tourism.
