The forest is located in the Thung Moong area in Dien Giang Village in Ba Thuoc Commune, lying next to the stone mining area of Thien Ma Construction Investment Joint Stock Company.
The problem has been happening since early August. Many trees have been cut down but not removed, and many others have been partially cut.
According to locals, trees with stripped bark have a very slim chance of survival, and the chance is even less for trees whose trunks have been cut.
The locals are upset about the destruction and want management agencies to deal with the issue.
