The Danang Department of Industry and Trade intends to promote e-commerce through livestreams at traditional markets to boost sales.

TikTok-based livestreams will be held at Con, Han, Dong Da and Hoa Cuong markets from June 7.

Market traders are being equipped with new skills in live streaming sales and online stall setup, offering them a unique opportunity to expand their customer base. Additionally, Tiktokers will be brought in to host livestreams at Con Market, further enhancing the market's appeal.

Local authorities are playing a crucial role in this initiative, actively encouraging traders to offer more attractive discounts for goods sold through livestream programmes. Their support ensures the success and sustainability of this project.

According to the city's Department of Industry and Trade, the livestream sales will help lure more customers to shop at traditional markets.

All products and goods allowed to participate in live stream sales must ensure labelling and food safety requirements, have clear origins and are reasonably priced and competitive.
