This is the first National Triathlon Competition to be organised after the Vietnam Triathlon Federation was established early this year.

The competition has seen participation of over 100 professional triathletes from 13 cities and provinces as well as clubs nationwide including CNGG, RacePlatform, Deadfish, FPT, DaNang Triathlon, CMC TSRun For Life, Vietnam Triathlon Club, Hue Triathlon Club, Z-Coaching, Ha Noi Triathlon Club, and Boidapchay.

The triathletes will compete in categories including Triathlon (swimming 750 m, cycling 20 km, and running 5 km), Duathlon (running 5 km, cycling 20 km and running 2.5 km), and Aquathlon (Swimming 500 m and running 2.5 km).

The competition will also see the participation of amateur triathletes in the individual Triathlon Sprint and group Duathlon Mixed Relay with four competitors (two males and two females).

The Vietnam National Triathlon Competition is following the regulations of the World Triathlon.

Triathlon has seen strong development in Vietnam over the past five years and the country has bagged two gold, one silver, and one bronze medals at the Southeast Asian Games 31 and 32.
