The Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced The Ever Glamour Nha Trang 2024 (EGN 2024) event, held from July 13 to 20, at a press conference on May 23.

The opening ceremony will host a competition between China and South Korea at Hai Thang Tu Square on July 13. The second competition between France and the UAE will be held on the closing night on Hon Tre Island on July 20. Each team will use at least 1,000 drones for their performances, which will last about 15 minutes.

The event is expected to attract over 50,000 spectators each night.

At the Thursday press conference, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also announced that the Nha Trang Sea Festival 2024 will be held from June 13 to 16 and will include various cultural, entertainment, and sports events, including a fashion show, processions, hip-hop performances, a boat race, a semi-marathon competition, and others.

The festival will also feature 200 booths that will introduce local foods and tourist sites.

Speaking at the conference, the director of the Khanh Hoa Tourism Department, Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, said that the events will help local tourism firms introduce and promote their products and services to domestic and foreign visitors.

"We expect to welcome 350,000-400,000 visitors to the festival this year," she said.

Statistics from the department showed that in 2023, Khanh Hoa welcomed over seven million visitors, an increase of 170.50 percent compared to 2022. This included about 2.10 million international visitors, a seven-fold surge.

The province has targeted receiving nine million travellers, including three million foreigners, in 2024.
