According to Lam Ngo Hoang Anh, director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, HCM City has planned to hold many events on the National Day holiday.

From August 17 to September 6, the city will hold some exhibitions. An incense and flowers offering ceremony for President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang will be held on August 31. A special arts programme to mark National Day is scheduled to take place on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street from 8 to 10 pm on September 2.
Meanwhile, the city’s Military Command has recommended firework displays from 9-9:15 pm on September 2 at Saigon River Tunnel and Dam Sen Cultural Park.
The municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proposed flying hot-air balloons on Nguyen Thien Thanh Street in Thu Duc City on September 2-3.
The country will enjoy a four-day holiday from September 1-4 for the September 2 National Day.
