Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programme AY 2025-2026 announced

The US Mission to Vietnam has announced the opening of the recruitment season for the 2025 – 2026 academic year for the Fulbright Vietnamese Visiting Scholar Programme and the Fulbright US-ASEAN Visiting Scholar Programme.

According to the announcement, eligible applicants must hold an MA or PhD degree, be a Vietnamese citizen (no dual citizenship), and be proficient in English.

Applicants should also be university faculty, government officials, private sector professionals, work at a think tank, or occupy similar positions. Applicants will be expected to have a significant record of scholarly or professional accomplishments. Applicants must reside in Vietnam throughout the nomination and selection process, and they must return to Vietnam upon completion of their US stay.

Applicant may choose a grant for a semester or full academic year.

A semester grant (05 months) must begin in September 2025 or January 2026. One academic year grant (09 months) must begin in September 2025.

Applicants should specialise in disciplines within the social sciences and humanities, science, and technology.

The deadline of application submission is 5:00 p.m., October 16, 2024 (Vietnam time).
