The DL03 route will run 20 kilometres from Saigon Bus Station, through 25 city centre streets in districts 1, 5, and 6, to the Cho Lon area and back. Each trip lasts an hour.
Passengers can stop at 15 spots along the route, including Ba Thien Hau Pagoda, Minh Huong Gia Thanh Communal House, Ba Hai Nam Pagoda, Ong Bon Pagoda, Cha Tam Church, Cho Quan Church, and Hai Thuong Lan Ong heritage buildings.

Nguyen Khoa Luan, director of the Anh Viet Hop on-Hop off Vietnam Company, the route's operator, said that the new route could boost tourism and socio-economic development in the Cho Lon and surrounding localities.

HCM City has piloted two open-top tourist bus routes, the DL01 in 2019 and the DL02 in 2022. Tickets cost from VND100,000-500,000 (USD4-20) per person. The two routes served about 317,000 tourists by the end of this year's first quarter.
