Vung Tau City People's Committee has just proposed to spend VND1.20 trillion (USD 49.46 million) to renovate its most popular beach Bai Sau.

According to the renovation plan, all unsuitable works will be removed from the beach during the 2024-2025 period. During this time, a dyke along Nguyen An Ninh Street will be built at the same time with a 10,000-square-metre seaside square on Thuy Van Street, and 10 kiosks.

The 3.2-kilometre section along Thuy Van Street is planned to become a high-class area with lots of green spaces. While 25 out of the 78 hectares will be used for public beaches.

There will also be parks, pedestrian zones and other public works such as outdoor cinemas and restaurants.

Freshwater shower poles serving beachgoers will be installed after the demolition of an illegal facility.

Earlier this year, authorities of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province launched a campaign to remove all illegally built tourism facilities along Bai Sau to return the open space to beachgoers.
