This is part of a proposal to revitalise an 830-metre section along the banks of Saigon River, running from Ba Son Bridge to Saigon River Tunnel in Thu Thiem Ward.

The project will focus on upgrading and building 14 facilities, including a 10,000-square metre parking lot, parks, fountains, quays and green space.
The area in front of Thu Thiem Church will be decorated with LED displays, while bamboo will be grown in various locations to create green walls along the riverbank.
Thu Duc City’s authorities have also suggested developing a sunflower field covering 5,000-6,000 square metres by the Saigon River.
The sunflower field is expected to be a highlight of Thu Duc City.
The Saigon Riverbank revitalisation project is divided into two phases. The first is expected to be finished before December 31 this year and the second is expected to be completed before April 30 next year.
